The card is complete for next month’s Bellator 151 event in Oklahoma with the addition of seven prelims.
On Tuesday, the card’s co-main event got a change when unbeaten Brit Michael Page (9-0 MMA, 5-0 BMMA) had to pull out. Former RFA welterweight champion Gilbert Smith (12-4 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) stepped up on a month’s notice to face Fernando Gonzalez (24-13 MMA, 4-0 BMMA) in the co-feature. Now the rest of the card is set.
Bellator 151 takes place March 4 at Winstar World Casino & Resort in Thackerville, Okla. The main card airs on Spike following prelims on MMAjunkie.
In the main event, former featherweight and bantamweight champion Joe Warren (13-4 MMA, 11-3 BMMA) takes on undefeated 135-pounder Darrion Caldwell (8-0 MMA, 5-0 BMMA). Plus, Bubba Jenkins (10-2 MMA, 7-2 BMMA) meets Goiti Yamauchi (19-2 MMA, 5-1 BMMA) in a key featherweight matchup, and to open the main card, bantamweight Sirwan Kakai (12-3 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) makes his promotional debut against Joe Taimanglo (21-6-1 MMA, 4-2 BMMA).
On the seven-fight preliminary card, which will stream on MMAjunkie, Chris Jones (10-3 MMA, 3-1 BMMA) meets Ray Wood (5-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) in a featherweight bout; bantamweights Steve Garcia (6-0 MMA, 4-0 BMMA) and Ricky Turcios (5-0 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) square off; Justin Patterson (6-1 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) fights Chance Rencountre (8-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) at welterweight; and Treston Thomison (8-4 MMA, 1-3 BMMA) meets Aaron Roberson (5-3 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) at featherweight.
Plus, welterweights Roger Carroll (16-13 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) and Neiman Gracie (3-0 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) meet; Derek Palmer (0-0 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) makes his middleweight pro debut against Jermayne Barnes (0-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA); and Steven Peterson (13-4 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) takes on Stephen Banaszak (5-5 MMA, 3-2 BMMA) at featherweight.
